DENISE WRIGHTSON

Denise graduated from Sheffield Art school in the 80’s and has spent many years in Arts related occupations including running her own company making sculpture.

In recent years she has returned to her first love of landscape painting. Her lively and expressive work is inspired by her time living in Southern Italy and her recent homecoming to The Peak District.

Her vigorous impasto brushwork brings us a fresh new way of experiencing the landscape.

Sometimes dreamy, often dramatic, these works catch the eye and hold the viewers interest, a vivid moment captured in atmospheric colours.

Now including an exploration of still life, her collection has variety both arresting and alluring within a cohesive style.”
